Technical Director

Purpose:

• Cornerstone Chapel, a Calvary Chapel affiliate in Leesburg, VA, is looking for a full time Technical Director to oversee and produce all of our services and events. This individual will be responsible for AVL church-wide.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and lead a team of volunteers to provide technical support to all venues including youth and children’s departments
• Serve as primary FOH Sound Engineer for main services: midweek and weekend
• Attend weekly Worship Department meetings
• Create a maintenance schedule for all current AVL equipment and repair or suggest replacement equipment when necessary
• Create and manage a yearly budget for all production and equipment costs
• Suggest new and innovative processes and AVL systems
• Maintain all equipment and tool storage
• Manage media purchases and requests
• Facilitate and oversee major productions such as Easter and Christmas
• Coordinate and schedule all volunteers for weekly and special services
• Create and maintain inventory of all AVL assets
• Setup, organize and maintain cabling and all stage elements
• Assist in designing and building stage design elements
• Support all AVL needs church-wide
• Other responsibilities as applied

Qualifications:

• Must have a personal relationship with Christ
• Must be committed to Cornerstone Chapel and tithe regularly
• Must demonstrate excellent FOH mixing techniques on digital consoles
• Must be able to design and program lighting  
• Must have a working knowledge of video systems
• Must be familiar with ProPresenter and PlanningCenterOnline
• Must have 5 years experience in large churches and/or auditoriums
• Must display excellent administrative and management skills
• Must have knowledge of large scale productions
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
