Family Life Pastor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise Directors to provide vision, oversight and daily direction to all aspects of Family Ministry including Ventureland Childrens Ministry, Elevate and Uprising Student Ministries, HUGS (Special needs) ministry, Marriage Ministry and Young Adults Ministry
• Continually cast vision for the strategy that combines the light of the church with the love of the family to create a greater impact in the life of a child than either could alone
• Serve as an advocate for Family Ministry before staff, congregation and elders
• Keep current with innovations in children’s, student, hugs and family-focused ministries
• Responsible for budget development, implementation and accountability
• Seek to lead students and their families to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ through evangelism, discipleship, worship, prayer, ministry and fellowship
• Supervise Leaders to equip students and adult volunteers to become multiplying disciples of Christ
• Work with the ministries in the promotion, planning and implementation of activities and events
• Maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating new children, youth and families into the life of the church
• Effective execution of new programs in keeping with established goals, maximize the effectiveness of present program, give leadership to program staff members and supervise staff members and volunteers involved in the family ministries
• Evaluate the evolving needs of the congregation and work to strengthen the present program in keeping with those needs
• Maintain visibility and presence for LifePoint attenders during weekend services
• Available to preach as needed
• Responsible for pastoral care including special services such as weddings and funerals
• Other duties as assigned
