Discipleship Pastor

The Discipleship Pastor is a full time preaching position, reporting to the senior pastor.  This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the constant improvement of our small groups system.  The person in this role supervises and leads the staff and volunteer teams that implement the system in every age level department (preschool, children, youth, young adult, adult, senior adult). The Discipleship Pastor is a person whose life has been changed by Jesus Christ and is passionate to share that salvation with as many as possible, helping both the newly saved and longtime believer grow to full maturity as disciples. This person absolutely must be able to work as part of a coordinated team and implement interconnected systems. 

We are working in consultation with Nelson Searcy of The Journey Church in New York City to develop and expand our congregational systems. Familiarity with these missional strategies will be helpful for candidates as we build a uniform philosophy and methodical approach for the fulfillment of our mission to make Disciples of Jesus Christ. Application Requirements:

• Ordination credentials are encouraged but not required
• Bachelor or Master's Degree required in ministry related field
• Prior preaching and worship planning experience required
• Prior small groups and Christian formation leadership experience required
• Staff supervisory experience is a plus

Starting salary is $55,000 with additional benefits compensation package.
