Salem Media of Washington, DC, including WAVA AM/FM and WWRC AM Radio, is seeking a Local Sales Manager for our local advertising sales team. WAVA is one of the top performing and most listened to Christian Teaching/Talk radio stations in the nation. AM 1260
The Answer has a unique conservative talk niche in the Washington DC market. All broadcast media is enhanced by strong non-traditional revenue (NTR) including managing events and digital assets, web displays, video, database, e-blasts, newsletters, social
media and mobile advertising. We are looking for an energetic team leader that will recruit, hire, manage and train a sales team of five to seven advertising sales people. Five plus (5+) years in media Sales Management is required, radio and NTR preferred.
A track record in strong sales growth during challenging economic times is important. The ability to accurately report pending business, and achieving monthly/quarterly goals is critical. Digital sales management experience is preferred. An understanding of
the Christian culture and church leadership is necessary. This person should have a very engaging professional demeanor, be very well-spoken and be comfortable relating with a diversity of ministry leaders and business executives.
