The Chief Operations Officer (COO) at New Life Christian Church will be an entrepreneurial leader who will work on behalf of the Senior Minister to define the vision/mission/plan of the church. They will gain consensus to the mission with the senior staff, while inspiring people to make that vision a reality. In this role, they will be constantly looking to the future, taking initiative to aggressively develop expansion and growth of New Life and the "nZone." The goal of the church is to develop three nZones in ten years, and working to that end must be in the forefront of the COO’s mind each day. This individual will oversee and direct the strategic plan for New Life Christian Church and coach director level staff for improved performance. They will also serve as an associate to the Senior Minister, constantly operating under the Senior Minster’s directional leadership. The COO will additionally have oversight of the Executive Minister, Business Minister and nZone GM, as they effectively serve as Senior Executive Minister, Chief Financial Officer, and President (respectively). They will work with all ministry areas to achieve the mission of the church, while providing coaching services to any New Life member and all New Life affiliates including operational staff.
An entrepreneurial person with direct experience starting new businesses or significant ministries will be an ideal fit for this role. The successful candidate will have a high degree of commitment to serve the church by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities. This individual will be highly organized, detail oriented, task focused, relationally motivated, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to lead/manage people and processes. An undergraduate degree in a relate field is required for this position, although an MBA/similar advanced degree will be highly desirable.

Leadership and Organization: Exceptional capacity for managing and leading people; Team building experience in scaling up organizations; Connect staff both on an individual level and in large groups; Capacity to enforce accountability, develop
and empower strong leaders from the bottom up, lead from the top down, cultivate entrepreneurship, and learn the strengths and weaknesses of the team; Position people for success; Maintain a sense of humor with a nature of approachability.
Action Oriented: Enjoy working hard and looks for challenges; Able to act and react as necessary, even if limited information is available; Unafraid to take charge of a situation; Overcome resistance to leadership and take unpopular stands
when necessary.
General Management: A thorough understanding of finance, systems, and HR; Broad experience with a full range of business functions and systems including strategic development and planning, budgeting, business analysis, finance, information
systems, human resources, and marketing.
