Job Description:

My client is seeking an Executive Director for their Non Profit Ministry (based in Lacanster, Pennsylvania) that provides those with serious mental health issues affordable, high quality residential opportunities. Through structured care environments, independent living services, and community based supports, they foster family-like relationships among those they serve, in an atmosphere that demonstrates God’s love expressed through Jesus Christ. 
This a registered Non-Profit Charitable Organization in the state of Pennsylvania, and is a 501(c) (3)


OVERVIEW:
Responsible, either directly or through team members, for overall direction and management of this Ministry and its activities. Major  areas  of  responsibilities include: 
Financial Development, 
Planning, Community Relations
Facilities Operations.
Maintaining and upholding the unique Christian and family atmosphere at this Ministry.
 
REPORTS TO:
Ministry Board of Directors
 
DIRECT REPORTS:
Director of Resident Life and Director of Ministry Support
 
DAILY ACTIVITIES:
Work with Board of Directors to jointly develop strategic plans and solutions to major issues.
 
Keep  Board of Directors informed at Board meetings and other times of significant problems, status of operations, proposed solutions, financial condition, and operations status.
 
Be the face of the Ministry to the community, government agencies, and sources of financial support.
 
Develop dependable sources of income and other support for the Ministry through public speaking, relationship building, grant applications, and other activities and approaches.
 
Mentor and counsel staff to maintain Christian foundation of the Ministry.
 
Develop the annual financial plan and present it to the Board.

Be the final approval of all new residents and staff proposed for acceptance by subordinates.
 
Ensure that procedures and controls are in place and followed so that inspections are passed and regulatory agencies continue to use the Ministry as a positive example to others.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated traditional Christian beliefs.
Good communicator, comfortable in public situations.
Proven success with outreach and financial development.
Well connected to local resources and organizations.
10+ year of experience in non-profit organizations.
10+ years of experience in a regulated environment (helpful).
5+ years of supervisory and management experience (required).
Christian service more important than personal financial gain, this is a "calling" not a job required).
College Degree or equivalent experience.
