Choice Books is looking for a person with a heart for placing wholesome, inspirational books in everyday shopping places. This person would be responsible to deliver books to stores, and to keep displays clean, stocked, and well-merchandised. It would also include developing a good rapport with store personnel. The service area includes Memphis and areas around Memphis, mostly to the North.
Compensation: $19.50 to $20.50 hourly
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Delivery of books to stores following a route schedule
- Building and maintaining a good rapport with store managers and receivers
- Merchandising books on displays
- Maintaining displays i.e. cleaning, making repairs, or replacing etc.
- Completing truck maintenance according to company policy
- Safe driving habits
Qualifications:
- Have a good work ethic and team spirit
- Connection with the faith-based aspect of the organization
- A valid driver’s license (CDL not required) with a good record
- Ability to drive a larger vehicle such as a box truck or van
- Capable of lifting 35-50 lbs. regularly
- Capable of bending, stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling, climbing steps, stools, and ladders, and stepping in and out of the back of truck, stand and walk long periods, and drive long periods to perform work
- Ability to communicate and relate to others in a professional manner
- Ability to start early mornings
