Job Description
The Discipleship Pastor is responsible for creating, managing, and executing the aspects of our church that make disciples and encourage Christian maturity. Responsibilities include leadership of the Life Group ministry, pastoral care, staff development, intermittent preaching, and assimilation.
Qualifications
A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and full agreement with New Life’s statement of faith
Passion for helping people become the people God created them to be
Sufficient ministry experience in discipleship ministries and a ministry license or a plan to attain one

Responsibilities and Expectations
Life Groups: Lead New Life into growing spiritual maturity by leading the Life Group ministry.
Staff Leadership: Develop and pastor New Life’s staff.
Leadership Development: Oversee an effective leadership development process for all ministries.
Pastoral Care: Conduct weddings/funerals, provide Biblical counseling, and perform hospital visits.
Assimilation: Oversee database management, visitor tracking, assimilation processes, new believer discipleship, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
Department
The Discipleship Pastor reports to the Lead Pastor. The Discipleship Pastor leads the Discipleship department that includes the Connections Pastor, Next Gen Director, Youth Pastor, and Children’s Directors.
