We at Portage Community Chapel are looking for a musically gifted, spiritually mature, biblically grounded Christ follower to lead all worship ministries under the direction of our Lead Pastor. We are a growing church with a vision of being a community where people experience God’s love as we stay on mission to be devoted followers of Christ.

We are taking applications from candidates interested in either part-time or full-time. We are open to negotiation of what the full-time aspect of the position entails including but not limited to media/graphic design, missions/outreach, or sports. Job Details:

- Part-time salary (20 hours per week) or Full-time salary (40 hours per week)

- Work schedule is flexible

Part-Time Worship Duties:

1. Prepare and lead Sunday worship elements (music, media, lyrical slides, Scripture readings, etc.).
2. Oversee and recruit worship teams.
3. Lead weekly practice and periodic training for volunteers.
4. Attend weekly staff and worship service planning meetings.
5. Organize special music events in collaboration with the music, sound, and media teams (communion, baptisms, funerals, weddings, Christmas, Easter, etc.).

Additional Duties for Full-Time Position:

1. Coordinate with the Youth Director and Children's Ministry Director on development of youth bands and kids’ choirs (primarily for special services and possibly for monthly services).
2. Ensure proper certification with CCLI Licensing and copyright for music/tracks/videos/livestreaming.
3. Additional job field of media/graphic design, missions/outreach, or sports ministry.

Qualifications:

1. A committed follower of Jesus Christ.
2. Must uphold the core values and beliefs of Portage Community Chapel.
3. Must commit to the mission and vision of Portage Community Chapel.
4. Must commit to be actively involved in the life and fellowship of the Church.
5. Ability to lead rehearsals and worship services from the keyboard, guitar, or vocally.
6. Experience as a worship leader or a college degree in the field of music arts/ministry.
